Newsletter subscriptions
When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your first name and email address. This data is used exclusively to send you updates about WWMC editions, publications, and research news. Legal basis: consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in any newsletter email.

Analytics data
With your consent, we use analytics services to understand how visitors use our website. This may include pages visited, session duration, navigation patterns, and interaction data. No data is sold or shared with third parties for advertising purposes. Legal basis: consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). See Section III (Cookie Policy) for details.

Session Replay (Amplitude)
With your consent to Analytics cookies, we may record anonymised user sessions showing how visitors interact with the website — including clicks, scrolling, and navigation patterns. Session recordings do not capture passwords, payment data, or personal information entered into forms. Recordings are retained for a maximum of 90 days. This feature only activates after explicit consent.

Donation processing
If you make a donation through our website, you will be redirected to third-party payment processors (RaiseNow, Stripe, or TWINT). WWMC receives only the information necessary to process your donation and, if you have consented, to contact you about future campaigns. WWMC is not the data controller for data processed directly by these payment services. Legal basis: contractual necessity and consent.

If you contact us by email, we retain your message and contact details for the time necessary to respond and for a reasonable period thereafter. Legal basis: legitimate interest.

Sender.net — newsletter and email management. Your name and email address are stored on Sender.net's servers for the purpose of sending newsletters. Privacy policy: sender.net/privacy-policy

Amplitude — web analytics and session replay (consent required). Privacy policy: amplitude.com/privacy

Cloudflare Web Analytics — privacy-friendly, cookieless traffic analytics. No personal data or cookies. Privacy policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy

RaiseNow — donation processing. Privacy policy: raisenow.com

4. Data Retention

• Newsletter subscriber data: retained until unsubscription
• Analytics data: as per each provider's retention policy (Amplitude: 90 days for session replays; aggregated data: up to 2 years)
• Email correspondence: up to 24 months
• Cookie consent preferences: up to 13 months

5. Data Transfers Outside Switzerland / EU

Some service providers (including Amplitude and Sender.net) may process data outside Switzerland or the EU. WWMC has verified that these providers offer adequate data protection guarantees (including EU Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable) in accordance with GDPR Article 46 and nFADP requirements.

Under GDPR and nFADP, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right of access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
• Right to erasure — request deletion of your data
• Right to portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
