About WWMC

Association Worldwide Music Conference (WWMC) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the future of music, in all its aspects and diversity.

WWMC brings together people committed to music — musicians, researchers, cultural and philanthropic leaders, as well as institutions — around music's defining questions and challenges.

Through conferences, advocacy, research, and other activities, WWMC advances music's recognition at the international and institutional levels, facilitates the preservation and transmission of musical heritage and knowledge, and fosters new discoveries and musical innovation.

2020
The Worldwide Music Conference was conceived.
2021
The inaugural edition — Scientific World Explores Music — was held online in April, uniting specialists from 12 scientific disciplines and 30 countries for two days of presentations and discussions.
2023
The second edition — World Musical Cultures — dedicated to the world's traditional and indigenous musical cultures.
2024
The third edition convened at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, hosted by the World Health Organization, to launch the Statement on Global Musical Culture.

Geneva, being the world's foremost centre of international dialogue, with a long-standing tradition of scientific, cultural, and philanthropic engagement, is a natural home for an organisation dedicated to music as a global priority.

The Worldwide Music Conference is incorporated as a nonprofit association under Swiss law, with its seat in the Canton of Geneva, on 12 March 2024. The Association pursues exclusively non-profit purposes.
